iD App Review - Autumn Edition - Part 1

There are heaps of great apps which all deserve a shout out. But we’ve done the hard work and created a two part review (Part 2 coming in October). Enjoy!

Activity

You’ll be seeing more dark night skies these next few months so instead of perpetuating a hermit, embrace the darkness, look up and make stargazing your new evening ritual with Sky Guide. This beautiful award winning app is packed with stunning imagery and features. Simply hold it to the sky to automatically find constellations, planets, satellites and more. This super intuitive app is great fun for all ages.

Food

Mind

Everyone needs to switch-off. Headspace has gained an avid following since its launch in 2010 as a Meditation & Mindfulness events company. Since then, its progression and development has made it one of the most recognised mindfulness apps around. We also recommend following Headspace on social as they regularly post interesting useful content. You can try Headspace for free with the basics pack.

Kids

Think and Learn Code-a-Pillar for kids 5 and under is both a toy and an app developed by Fisher Price. The app teaches young children the very basics and fundamentals of code using play and critical thinking. Start them young we say! What’s also great is that Fisher Price have recognised the need for reduced screen time so the toy and app balance out this activity nicely.

The apps are free and the toy is priced at €59.99

Shopping

Etsy has been recognised globally as a go-to online store for all things crafty, quirky and unique. With Christmas not too long away, it’s a good idea to browse Etsy now to compile interesting gift ideas for your friends and family. Things you’ll find on Etsy are made by crafters and makers all over the world and many of the goods can’t be bought high street. Also, if you are in any way crafty, Etsy makes it really easy for you to setup your own shop and start selling all within a few simple steps.

The Etsy app is free!

So get downloading our Autumn Apps. Make sure to check back in October for Part 2, we’ve got a few neat ones lined up!

Have fun,
iD Team.
